Home Repair in Lakewood
Wayne County lies in the northeastern Pennsylvania highlands, sharing borders with New York and Pike County. Honesdale serves as the county seat, with townships and boroughs spread across rolling farmland and lake communities. FixxMeNow is based here, at 616 Hamlin Highway in Lake Ariel, so Wayne County is home turf.
The lake camps and country homes here sit under heavy tree cover, so needle debris clogs gutters and shade keeps decks, siding, and screen doors damp.
This is a hard-winter corner of the county, and the aging seasonal homes around Lakewood often go unwatched while frozen pipes, drafty windows, and loose railings wait for spring.
Weather & your home
What Wayne County’s Climate Does to Homes
Elevation and proximity to Catskill weather patterns mean Wayne County gets above-average snowfall and long cold stretches. Older farmhouses need drafts sealed and storm doors tightened before winter, lake cottages around Wallenpaupack and Lake Ariel need decks, docksides and screens looked over each spring, and frost heave works on fence posts and mailboxes every year.
These conditions swell doors and windows, heave fence posts and mailboxes, pack gutters with debris, and turn small drips into water damage. FixxMeNow handles the everyday repairs that NEPA weather creates, inside and out, so the little jobs never turn into big ones.
